• Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is a script medic?

A script medic is like an editor for screenplays-someone who diagnoses story problems and prescribes creative solutions. I help writers strengthen structure, sharpen dialogue, deepen characters, and improve pacing without taking over your voice or vision.

What genres do you work with?

I specialize in dark genres like horror, thriller, sci-fi, and fantasy, but I'm happy to work with any genre-drama, crime, even dark comedy-especially if your script has a strong story at its core.

How do I send you my script?

Once we confirm your service and payment, you'll receive instructions to email your script as a PDF or Word doc to scripts@darkscriptclinic.com. If you'd like feedback via comments, please send an editable file (like a .docx or Google Doc link).

How long does it take to get feedback?

Turnaround time is typically 3-4 business days for most services. Rush delivery is available for an added fee. For larger projects or custom requests, I'll give you a timeline up front.

Will you rewrite my script for me?

No. My job is to guide, not ghostwrite. I provide detailed notes, suggestions, and revision strategies-but the rewriting is up to you. That way, the story remains yours.

Do you work with first-time writers?

Absolutely! Whether it's your first draft or your fifteenth, I'm here to help you level up your script and learn along the way.

Can I request a custom service?

Yes! If you have a unique project, a long-form script, multiple episodes, or need ongoing support, I can create a custom quote just for you. Just send a short description and logline to scripts@darkscriptclinic.com.

How do I pay for your services?

Once we confirm the service, I'll send payment instructions (via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo). Payment is due upfront before I begin the work.

    Will my script stay confidential?

Always. Your script is your intellectual property, and I treat every project with full confidentiality. I never share or discuss your work without written permission.
